Here are motions moved by Councillor Mike Layton on the 2012 Operating and Capital Budgets.

Policy, Planning, Finance & Administration and the Toronto Environment Office – Operating Budget
That City Council direct the City Manager to:
1. increase the Toronto Environment Office (TEO) operating budget by $398,000 with funds from the estimated $6.8 million surplus remaining in the TEO reserve fund allocation and reinstate four Corporate Environment Support positions. This is funding which is currently unallocated to any program activities;
2. continue to fund these four positions through this reserve funding until December 2014;
3. continue to implement the City's Sustainable Energy Plan and Climate Change Action Plans with these positions and report to Council by the end of 2012 on the outcomes and activities of these four positions and their role focused on implementing the Sustainable Energy Strategy and Climate Change Action Plans; and
4. increase the TEO's operating budget by $38,000 with funds coming from the TEO reserve fund to reinstate the Smart Commute Coordinator position, which has 50% funding from Metrolinx
