Motions by Councillor Mammoliti on CC20.1

Update:  Councillor Mammoliti has revised his motion at the request of the Speaker since it was first posted to this site.

Second Update: 6:29 p.m. - Motion B has been revised since first posted due to an error on the part of the Clerk.

Councillor Giorgio Mammolitihas made the following motion on item CC20.1, the report of the Expert Panel on Sheppard Avenue East transit options.

a - Motion to Amend Item moved by Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti (Final)

That City Council request the Federal Government to start negotiations immediately with the City of Toronto on the potential funding from the Public Private Partnership Fund for subways in the City of Toronto where LRTs are proposed.

b - Motion to Amend Motion moved by Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti (Final)

That Motion 2 by Councillor Del Grande be amended by adding the words "non-residential paid" to Recommendations 4 and 6 so that they now read as follows:

4. City Council direct that the Rapid Transit Planning Office be funded initially with $10 million consisting of funds to be solicited from the Provincial and Federal governments and the City's contribution to be recovered from future non-residential paid parking levy revenues.

6. City Council direct the City Manager to complete a plan to use currently available Federal and Provincial funds (previously committed for a Sheppard LRT) plus non-residential paid Parking Levy proceeds to begin the procurement process for the Sheppard Subway extension to Scarborough Town Centre.
